Bodyweight exercises are a great way to completely condition your whole body, and the “burpee” is one of the best methods to use.

Best of all, you don’t need any equipment or DVD’s. However, bodyweight exercises are strenuous and very exhausting. These exercises are performed by inmates at prisons, allowing them to get their notoriously muscular bodies. Burpees are not an exercise fad, and they definitely are not new, but they do work. The exercise is simple in theory but difficult to execute. You cannot hide from it and running away is cowardly. Executing this exercise is relatively simplistic.
You begin from a standing position.
Then you squat down and place your hands in front of you on the floor.
Slide your feet back quickly into the push up position.
Perform one pushup, then return as quickly as you can to your feet and push off into as high a jump as you can manage. Lather, Rinse and Repeat…
Performing this exercise quickly is the most beneficial. Begin your session with 20 reps. Then you do 19 reps the second set; 18 the third, etc. As you count down and work your way down to the final, single set, you will begin to appreciate the effectiveness of burpees and bodyweight exercises as a whole. You are going to sweat and you may puke, but you are going to be stronger and more fit for it!
