King sized beds rule
When my wife and I got married, my wifes parents bought us a new queen size box spring and mattress. We enjoyed the new bed, but once we bought a new home we wanted a larger bed and started looking for a new king size bed instead of the smaller queen size bed that we had for years.
A king size bed is a luxury sized bed and you need a room large enough to be able to have one. If you have the space there is nothing like the sheer comfort of a luxurious king size bed. There is enough room for three people to sleep in one comfortably.
Of course once you decide to buy a king sized bed you need to purchase a bed frame with a headboard, new queen size sheets, a quality mattress pad to protect your mattress and you also need to buy a new king sized mattress and box spring for your new bed as well.
When I was shopping for a new mattress to go with the new bed I noticed there are new low profile box springs and thinner mattresses than the old styles of mattresses. The reason for thinner box springs and mattresses is that newer bed frames have higher cross braces that make standard sized box springs much higher on the bed frame making it higher to get into your bed. The new low profile mattresses make it lower for you to get into and out of bed much easier.
One of the best mattresses today that I bought with my new bed is a very firm memory foam mattress that took three days to get to its firmest comfort level. I have not regretted buying a larger king sized bed since I bought the new bed I have had much better sleeps and never wake up with back pain very often, because I have a bad back and need something really firm.
