Credit Repair Business – How to Start Your Own
The credit repair business will remain profitable regardless of the state of the economy. Take for example the current recession – the credit repair business has enjoyed great success, even as other businesses have gone under. American society depends heavily on credit to fuel the economy.
About one in every 3 or 4 American citizens have some or other problem with their finances, which negatively affects their credit score and credit worthiness. Does it still surprise you that credit repair business is a leading choice for entrepreneurs?
However there are a great many other advantages than just that of high demand. Investment is minimal, it offers great personal satisfaction, it’s an excellent way to make money and one can save a great deal on marketing expenses, as a great deal of business will come from recommendations from satisfied customers.
Alright then, let’s get started!
Step 1
To start with you need to get copies of your client’s 3 credit reports. Do one of the following: Call 877-322-8228 or visit AnnualCreditReport dot com. Another way is to Google “free credit report.” Don’t be surprised when you have thousands of results to choose from.
Make sure you don’t skip this step, because in more than 90 percent of cases, a bad credit score is the result of erroneous entries in the report. As a credit repair business you will be reading your clients credit reports trying to detect errors that are negatively impacting his credit.
Step 2
Go over your clients credit report and try to detect errors. Pay close attention to unpaid loans that might not be your client’s as this could indicate identity theft. Don’t be surprised if the amounts in this case are not terribly high, since this may be done to avoid raising suspicion. While the thieves make money, the victim is left with negative entries and a bad credit score.
Step 3
Mail the credit bureaus and dispute the errors you have found. If you find anything that points to identity theft, contact the police posthaste; doing so will help absolve your client, to a degree, from responsibility.
Your business will be profitable depending on how successful you are representing your client with the credit bureaus. Most people hire a credit repair business because they would rather enjoy the savings in time and effort that comes with entrusting the matter to a professional. And so if you want to have lots of clients seeking your services your client’s interest must invariably become first. Believe me, paradoxical as it sounds, this is what will make your business a great success.
Step 4
Get a hold of a good credit repair software so you can simplify the process as much as possible. Work smartly, as this will bring in more business and therefore you will earn higher profits. But don’t rely only on your software; you must “marry” your software speed and efficiency, with the intelligent judgment that can only come from a human being.
Step 5
Promote your credit repair business actively both online and offline. Offer freebies to potential clients, as a means of generating interest in your business – such as counseling, consultations, free credit report assessment, high quality information, and the like. Just always make sure you put your clients interest first. If you will do that, will find that making money in your credit repair business is not all that difficult.
A good way to start is by helping people you already know. And make sure you do the best job possible for them! You will be rewarded for your good work by floods of clients obtain through “word-of-mouth marketing” and endless leads. In order to kick start your business offer a limited time discount; and make sure your to give your best effort, so those that take you up on your offer will send you more business through referrals.
And once again, if you wish to make money do all you can to please your clients. The money will follow. And lastly, never succumb to greed, make outlandish promises, or do anything illegal, since to do so spells disaster.
